Drawing has always been a part of Mike Savages life, so the decision to major in illustration came naturally. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Kansas in 1980 and began exploring different techniques of painting. Currently, the style in which he paints is what he calls a contemporary form of impressionism. Hes been painting for over 20 years and has recently enjoyed the luxury of painting for a living. He lives in Westwood, Kansas with his wife and two children and enjoys reading, listening to music, playing softball and spending time with friends and family.
