- Jan Gaumnitz
Jan Gaumintz graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. Degree in Art Education and a MFA from the University of Kansas. Her sculptures and paintings are exhibited nationally in galleries and juried shows where her work has received numerous awards. In 1999, Gaumnitz and a partner were commissioned by the City of Lawrence, KS to create a 5 x 26 foot mosaic mural. Her work in Lawrence can be seen at Roys Gallery, Fields Gallery and the Phoenix Gallery. Her hobbies include gardening and traveling. Gaumnitz and her husband have resided in Lawrence for 30 years.
