Cherish Pageau
David Rolston and Cherish Pageau are Graduates from the Kansas City Art Institute. They are both Production Artists at Hallmark.

According to Cherish, “Generally, the Cave Paintings of Lascaux are the first things you get exposed to in Overview Art History classes, it's kind of a good place to start when you want to learn about art. I guess the imagery of these paintings have always stuck with me and were the first things to come to mind when I learned that the Cow Parade was coming to Kansas City.”

Both artists brought different talents and devoted a lot of time to the project, and it certainly shows. David had a lot to do with figuring out a way to construct a cave wall appearance because of his creative experience with automotive fiberglass putty. Nine Gallons of it went into this little doggy including the 2 gallons of texture that was applied with our bare hands, making it the most time consuming portion of creating this cow art. The cow totaled out about 600 hours of labor, with 450 hours being the putty application and sculpting. After the final shape and texture was achieved the entire cow was painted by hand using multiple techniques and paints, there's not another paint job quite like it in the world. It also appears to be the only cow in Kansas City at least that has distinctively 2 types of finishes to it, that being Satin and High Gloss.
