In Melissa Ingrams words, Born with a paintbrush in my fist, my lifes work so far has been exploring my art, the human creative spirit and healing. She earned a B.A. in Studio Art, then spent several years living in New York City immersing in the art community and witnessing the restorative power of art and recreation therapy for patients in chronic care facilities. Informing my work for the past 10 years has been my study and practice in energy healing with all its colors, shapes, textures and non-linear realities. In my work I seek to transcend my training and cultural biases and discover my next most authentic inspiration. Her painting is with vivid colors, layers and textures in non-objective composition and her work has been shown in North Carolina, NYC, Kansas and Missouri.
