 - Marcella G. SmithArtist Marcella Smith’s primary passion is sculpture, working with bronze and stone. She worked for a year as an apprentice in bronze with Master Sculptor: Professor Elden Tefft in Lawrence, Kansas, and still visits and works with him occasionally. “I marvel at how marble or alabaster can be ground and carved into gentle and delicate shapes. The whole long process of bronze also fascinates me in how we can actually melt solid metal into 'lava', then control it and make it into the detailed shapes and wonderful forms the artist chooses.” The artist is also a skilled painter and works with ceramics. She owns and operates a Christian Art Gallery website, www.LivingGallery.cc, where her art, along with other artist's works, is listed for sale. She also finds the time to work as a Nursing Supervisor at 'Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital' in Kansas City, Missouri. Cows in Kansas City |
