“Plaza Cow” depicts the towers of the Country Club Plaza and its fountains on both sides of the cow. It has blue skies with white, puffy clouds on its sides. Spanish tiles are on its face and tail, and ironwork is on its legs. Golden horns, ears, hooves and tail tassel also adorn “Plaza Cow”. Hensley was inspired to paint a cow after seeing the “CowParade” in Chicago. “I wanted to paint a design on my cow that said Kansas City. I think The Country Club Plaza is what many people think of when they think of Kansas City.”
