Cow-melot was inspired by the artists extensive research of Medieval art and culture. Artist Amy Carlson said, One of the things the knights did for the jousting festivals was to dress up their horses in attire (including helmets) that matched their own. So my idea is to transform my cow into a Medieval bovine ready for festival action. She is thusly named Gwenivere, the gentle killer of Cow-melot. How do you dress a fiberglass cow? Well, all I can say is there are three common forms of fiberglass, resin, gel, and putty and she's utilized them all in her garments. Her head gear is made from metal.
