Title: MOO-Maid
Location: Crown Center
Artist: Hallmark Creative Workshop Group
Sponsor: Crown Center

MooMaid quickly became the signature cow of CowParade Kansas City. Surfacing in Crown Center fountain in June, she remained above water for a record 3 and 1/2 months for the thousands of visitors who came to admire her.

Miss MooMaid is a buxom young lady standing approximately 8 feet 3 inches tall. She won't disclose her weight. She is constructed around the original fiberglass form with additional reinforced fiberglass, steel, polyurethane foam, dichoric glass, marine epoxy, automotive body putty, and enamel
paint. The rocks she rests on are hollow cast concrete and fiberglass creations. Natural river stones complete the setting. She comes with a steel roll-around cart for transportation and a royal purple unveiling cover.

MooMaid was created by the Hallmark Creative Worship Group, which included artists Vickie Brown, Ann Ottewill, Doug Parrott, Thomas Vanderford, Carol Osborne, Frank Ellis, Stephen Birkes, Gloria Kirchhoff, Anne Thurlow, and Dorothy Copher.

This cow was sold in the internet auction hosted by Amazon.com that began on October 5, 2001, immediately following the close of the live auction and ran for approximately three weeks.
