Title: Shuttle Cow
Location: Country Club Plaza
Artist: Sam Wagner
Kip Brown
Sponsor: KansasCity.com

"Shuttle Cow" is a playful mimic of Claus Oldenberg’s Shuttlecocks, on the lawn on the Nelson-Atkins Museum. “We felt that the shuttlecocks were a well-known icon of Kansas City. We wanted to do something that was unique to Kansas City, and was something that was easily recognizable with Kansas City. The result is 'Shuttle Cow',” according to the artists, Sam Wagner and Kip Brown.

This cow was sold in the live auction conducted by Sotheby's on October 5, 2001 at Starlight Theatre.
