Nobody on the planet eats more butter than New Zealanders, who consume 26 pounds per person each year. In the United States, however, butter consumption is spread pretty thin - only 4 pounds per year.

Cowboots (On The Hoof) is covered with multi-colored, vintage inspired boots, complete with topstitching on a background that was painted to look like leather. The finishing touches are the “tooled silver” hoof tips and horns. “I love boots and do a lot of work in leather, so I thought I would pay tribute to the source. I have always fantasized about being a boot designer, and now I finally got my chance.”

K.P. Mills is a fiber artist and theatrical costume designer recently transplanted from Las Cruces, NM to Cleveland, MO. She has designed everything from elegant period gowns to giant dancing rubber can costumes, and she has a real passion for vintage western wear.

This cow was sold in the internet auction hosted by that began on October 5, 2001, immediately following the close of the live auction and ran for approximately three weeks.
