Technicolor Dream Cow was inspired from the old Biblical story about young Joseph, and his Technicolor coat. “It is a wonderful historical lesson covering the full spectrum of the human nature. Perhaps, the dream cow will stir others to check out the story,” said the artist. This magnificent piece of work is covered with multi-layers of glazing acrylic paint, along with over 1,400 hand-made tile 'bubbles' carrying her flowing Technicolor dream along its way and has also been autographed by Donny Osmond.
Artist Marcella Smith’s primary passion is sculpture, working with bronze and stone. She worked for a year as an apprentice in bronze with Master Sculptor, Professor Elden Tefft in Lawrence, Kansas. “I marvel at how marble or alabaster can be ground and carved into gentle and delicate shapes. The whole long process of bronze also fascinates me in how we can actually melt solid metal into 'lava', then control it and make it into the detailed shapes and wonderful forms the artist chooses.”
