Its founder Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter and founder of abstract art. The Sports Period was an abstract style based on the simple geometric shapes, pure color, and sports ball textures. He typically created a framework on the cow using vertical and horizontal lines, and filled the rectangles with primary colors and sports ball patterns.
