The Mondrian Sports Movement was developed in 1997 and lasted until the year 2001. Its founder Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter and founder of abstract art. The Sports Period was an abstract style based on the simple geometric shapes, pure color, and sports ball textures. He typically created a framework on the cow using vertical and horizontal lines, and filled the rectangles with primary colors and sports ball patterns. Some of his most frequently used sports equipment was the soccer ball, tennis ball, football and basketball. All of these patterns can be found on Moondrian Sports Period.
